The African Development Bank Mission 300 Progress Tracker and the World Bank’s Mission 300 Progress Portal offer the clearest view yet of how far we’ve come — and how far we still need to go — to connect 300 million Africans to electricity by 2030.
The numbers tell a powerful story: 5.2 million people have already gained access through African Development Bank supported programs, with 5,120MW of power capacity installed. The African Development Bank has also funded 11,921 kilometres of cross-border and national transmission lines and 37,122 kilometres of new or improved power distribution lines.
