Wale Edun serves as Nigeria’s Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy. With over four decades in finance and economic strategy, he holds economics degrees from the University of London and University of Sussex. His career includes roles at Chase Merchant Bank, The World Bank/IFC, Lehman Brothers, and Chase Manhattan Bank.
He founded Denham Management Limited, chaired Chapel Hill Denham Group, and served as Lagos State Commissioner for Finance from 1999-2004. He established West Africa Ratings (now a Global Credit Ratings/Moody’s subsidiary) and chaired the Ogoni Trust Fund. His public service includes positions as International Trustee of the Duke of Edinburgh Award, Chair of the International Award for Young People Nigeria, and Chairman of Lagos Boxing Hall of Fame. He has been honored as an Officer of the Federal Republic (OFR) and serves on the Ministry of Finance Incorporated Board.
