Semkae Kilonzo, Executive Director of the Policy Forum in Tanzania,
Joined the Policy Forum in 2007 as the lead responsible for media, communication, and advocacy at its secretariat office. He was pivotal in ensuring that policy analysis information reached policy makers, civil society, and the public effectively. He advanced to become the Coordinator of Policy Forum, leading the Secretariat and contributing significantly as the Board Secretary. He is also an active member of the Steering Committee of the Global Movement for Budget Transparency, Accountability and Participation (BTAP).
Kilonzo’s dedication is evident in his commitment to promoting public participation in policy making and championing the fair distribution and use of public resources. His qualifications include a master’s degree from Cardiff University, media training in Dublin, and an early foundation at the Tanzania School of Journalism. He has also completed the Fundamentals of Social Accountability Monitoring course at Rhodes University, South Africa.
